Overview

BRPH is looking for a Senior Planner Scheduler for our Melbourne, Florida headquarter office. The Senior Planner Scheduler provide technical support and execution of project controls and scheduling functions for projects.This position includes assisting the Project Manager in the development of project plans, Critical Path Method (CPM) compliance in accordance with client contract documents, accuracy validation of subcontract vendor schedules, including progress and schedule logic conflict management.  Forecasting, diagnosing, and planning workarounds and other project tracking needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain schedules
  • Develop and maintain all project schedules and coordinate schedules with the client.
  • Support the project in the compiling of multiple subproject schedules to establish the status of work on a weekly basis. 
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and other ad hoc reporting as required by the contract, requested by the Project Manager.
  • Support the project with day-to-day administration of the project, including financial control, reporting, monitoring.  
  • Provide earned value progress and performance reporting for the project. 
  • Validate variance analysis.  
  • Develop and maintain all manpower loading for projects in Deltek.
  • Maintain project Closeout Tracker on real-time basis.
  • Report out project schedule status in staff meetings.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field.  Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 8 or more years of work experience in project controls and scheduling with 5+ years on large scale projects
  • 5+ years of experience with earned value management (EVM) and progress measurement approaches for construction phases of work
  • Financial Analysis experience
  • 5 or more years of experience (demonstration of proficiency) in administering project schedules
  • Experience with directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, cost loaded schedules, and risk analysis.
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite – Specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point Communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of the project team.
  • Ability to plan, organize, document, perform, review project controls and schedule with minimum supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • The work is semi-sedentary work and requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
  • Ability to navigate and move around the construction site, which may involve walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively.
  • Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and  to maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others.
  • Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
