ORACLE DBA 8 plus years' experience

Primary experience in Oracle Database administration and performance tuning.

• Experience in large scale databases environments and diverse teams.
• Excellent understanding of database architecture with a focus on performance.
• Experience with hands-on production performance support.
• Knowledge of database optimization and fine-tuning techniques.
• Ability to quickly figure out the root cause of performance and other technical issues and provide solutions.
• Detailed DB performance analysis using various tools OEM, AWR, ASH, OS monitoring tools and Oracle wait events
• Experience and knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Trace/Explain plans, SQL performance tuning. Setting Oracle parameters, and options.
• Experience in system components including CPU, RAM, IO and SAN
• SQL and PL/SQL troubleshooting experience for analyzing packages / procedures / triggers / application code.
• Experience in designing enterprise backup strategies using RMAN, ExpDP, etc...
• Hands On experience with design and administration of Oracle DataGuard
• Experience in troubleshooting Upgrades and Patching issues
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in meetings, email and informal discussions.
