Job Description :

Looking for highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 5-6 years of experience having strong background in Unix (AIX and Linux) , Middleware and Application support .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability and performance of our systems while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain UNIX systems, with a focus on AIX and Linux environments.

• Monitor and optimize system performance and ensure high availability.

• Provide basic support for middleware components, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Support application deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and scalability.

• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support and enhance infrastructure.

• Assist in cloud migration and implement best practices for hybrid environments.

• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks using Shell scripting, Python or Jenkins and improve operational efficiency.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Respond to and resolve incidents promptly, minimizing downtime and impact on business.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

• Work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to drive reliability engineering initiatives.

• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk etc.

• Set up and maintain dashboards, alerts and log management solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in AIX and Linux administration.

• Hands-on experience with middleware (e.g., WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss) at a basic level.

• Background in application development/support with debugging and performance tuning skills.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with foundational knowledge of cloud services and migration.

• Experience in any of the automation tools like Jenkins, Cloudbees and Scripting (Shell , Python , etc)

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
