In this role, you will be entrusted with overseeing the planning, monitoring, and management of both current and future operations, as well as the delivery functions within the SRE team. We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge officeandgiven the flexibility to work remotely a few days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously work to improve the reliability, stability, and performance of Broadridge applications
- Technical Areas of Focus Include
- Networking (SonicWALL a plus)
- Message queues (WebSphere MQ a plus)
- Windows/Linux Server Administration (including physical rack/stack, lifecycle management)
- Active Directory management
- Storage Administration (capacity management)
- Virtualization (Hyper-V)
- Monitoring tools (Datadog/Splunk/PRTG/etc)
- Certificate management
- Building Build/Deployment Pipelines (Jenkins a plus)
- Automation/ Configuration management tools (Ansible a plus)
- File transmission software (CrushFTP, GoodSync a plus)
- Participate in periodic on-call (on/off business hours) escalations based on incident severity and established SLA's
- Lead by example, creating a healthy and professional people culture around him/her, encouraging creativity, growing and inspiring others.
- Coordinate and report on project status against defined schedules and milestones
- Communicate complete and timely status reports to Sr. Leadership
- Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related preferred
- 7+ years of experience in SRE or equivalent roles in medium to large organizations
- History of driving and completing successful complex technical projects
- Experience in Fintech is considered a plus
- Expert level understanding of interdependencies between various infrastructure components
- Practical understanding of working within SLOs and SLIs
- Technical certifications are a plus (Net+/Sec+/AWS)
- Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting/debugging skills and attention to detail
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs, considering automation, availability, performance, scale, and cost.
- Ability to adapt and embrace change and support business strategy and vision
- Ability to communicate and present clearly and confidently to senior leaders
- Fluency of English, both verbal and written, is essential
- Ability to work independently of leadership
