• As a QA Engineer, our ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of SQL/noSQL databases, and a superior understanding of how to work iteratively with complex data sets (e.g., reference data, market data, customer data) and has experience with AWS. The QA Engineer understands how test scenarios work to verify and measure accuracy, completeness and performance of data delivery as they are used and controlled in the various systems/applications.
• The ideal candidate will be successful in applying principles of sound Business Analysis and best practices in driving creation of Functional and Behavior-Driven tests, Integration tests and User Experience (UX) testing not only for commonly used financial products but also for AI applications and chat bots. Emphasis will be placed on identifying relevant types of testing for various types of applications and their corresponding automated test frameworks. Familiarity with Selenium for the UI (Cucumber/Gherkin language), integration testing tools for API and end-to-end integration testing from source systems are expected.
• Our Quality Engineer will have solid experience working with test processes, methodologies, tools, and technology, and has a passion to share best practices in test case creation and test management that would enhance our company's enterprise-wide QE and AI capability. The candidate is also an out-of-the-box thinker who can help define AI test strategies for the growing number of AI applications being built at our firm and across the marketplace.
• Familiarity with an Agile SDLC organized into Sprints is important. Ensuring that test coverage reflects the usability of the Customer UI experience is key, especially when testing new AI applications and capabilities. Familiarity with more traditional SDLC methodologies is a plus, as well as exposure to tracking and reporting tools such as JIRA or similar tools. Our candidate has good common sense and uses strategies that maximize quality testing capability.
• The candidate we seek exhibits a keen sense of end-to-end ownership of the quality of our products, organizing his/her/their assigned tasks with care, attention to detail under pressure, and respect for target delivery dates. He/she/they enjoy working with a small, talented team but has an independent mindset to champion our internal and external Customers' experience of quality as the foremost deliverable.
