The Project Coordinator will be supporting the Software Engineering teams. The Project Coordinator is accountable for establishing a workflow and procedure for software releases internally. They plan and coordinate all technology releases, which includes defining and managing release schedules and calendars, testing cycles and schedules, and identifying and mitigating potential resource and capacity conflicts.
Key Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the up-front planning and coordination of all software releases
- Define, track, and manage release content and schedules - a comprehensive plan that integrates all the inputs and outputs of release planning activities, including the creation of release plans with dependencies
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure software release activities are managed and coordinated accordingly
- Work closely with the Account Managers, Delivery, and Support teams to manage overall release calendar, to identify and mitigate potential conflicts in the development and test regions
- Generate professional and accurate client documentations for release-related activities.
- Engage with project in early phases of the development life cycle to ensure alignment with the overall release schedules
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Support and manage aspects of Broadridge's software implementations, across program streams including the Release Charter process, release milestones / cut-off periods and project tracking throughout the solutions design and development period
- Ensure and collect release-specific metrics to define a quality release
- Work across the organization to improve and enforce development, testing, release documentation standards in conjunction with the development life cycle
- Support activities outside of normal business hours during releases.

Education:
- University degree or college diploma in a related field
- 2+ years of direct experience as a project coordinator role at a Financial Services Institution or in a Fintech company
- Experience in a client-facing roles is an asset
- Experience in Application Service Provider (ASP) business is an asset
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, "service-first" attitude combined with superior interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently on projects, with tight deadlines, under minimal supervision
- Understanding and experience in the financial services industry, preferably in banking, mutual funds and/or securities, is an asset.
