Production Equipment Technician

Production Equipment Technician position. In this role, you will lead and provide direction and mechanical support to the production line and finishing technicians as required. You will monitor all work ensuring that a constant workflow is maintained. You will also maintain/supervise operating software on Insertion/Finishing equipment. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides mechanical and electrical support to the production line and supports production operations with all equipment-related and machine setup issues.
  • Supervising training and certification of machine operators on material and detection set-up on the Insertion/Finishing equipment as required.
  • Research current versions and models of vendor software.
  • Maintaining the inventory for machines by providing management with a comprehensive inventory.
  • Cross-training with Senior Technicians on operating software uses and instruction for job set-ups and mode modification.
  • Following all departmental procedures as advised including all departmental guidelines and keeping accurate records of all work performed.

  • A proven proficiency in the operation, repair and maintenance of insertion/finishing equipment, electric and electric circuit experience is necessary.
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of equipment software and operating systems. Experience in mode building and implementation. Full functional abilities around transferring of software, upgrading software and modifying software utilized in our production operations equipment.
  • Ability to stand and work, to lift, carry and move 25+ lbs throughout duration of assigned shift.
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, prioritize, and work under deadline pressures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years' experience within a production environment with resultant knowledge of machine repair. Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of machines is necessary.
  • Experience/understanding in spare parts/repair parts control, parts ordering, budget and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Project planning experience.
