Broadridge is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of our cutting-edge financial technology solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in cloud computing, automation, software development, and financial applications, working independently while providing guidance on complex technical challenges.

- Apply specialized expertise to design, develop, and optimize high-performance financial applications.
- Solve complex technical problems by taking a broad perspective and identifying innovative solutions.
- Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices for improving products, processes, and services.
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Route 53, ECS, and EKS.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless code deployment using Git, Jenkins, and automation tools.
- Enhance system reliability by applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Utilize Terraform, Chef, and Jenkins for automation and infrastructure management.
- Lead performance testing and optimization of APIs to improve response time, stability, and resource usage.
- Work with SQL Server, focusing on stored procedures, query tuning, and database optimization.
- Design high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) friendly architectures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively and negotiate solutions with stakeholders.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Java J2EE, Angular, Spring, and web technologies (XML, Struts, JavaScript, AJAX, Web Services).
- Experience developing and deploying applications in Linux and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, and Shell Scripting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Route 53, ECS, EKS).
- Expertise in automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, and Jenkins.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps best practices.
- Deep understanding of database management, including SQL Server optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning.
- Knowledge of HA, DR, and enterprise-scale system architecture best practices.
- Leadership & Problem-Solving:
- Ability to lead functional teams and manage projects with technical complexity.
- Strong problem-solving skills, using analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions.
- Experience interpreting business challenges and recommending best practices to improve efficiency.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in financial software applications and a solid understanding of financial industry fundamentals.
