We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge officeandrequired to be in an office 2 days a week
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design, implementation and operational support of the technical infrastructure for strategic Broadridge applications and services
- Build, configure, automate and maintain various AWS services
- Designs technical solutions and automated operational processes for the next generation Broadridge platforms for automation, availability, performance, scale and cost.
- Ensure the continuous health and reliability of the technical infrastructure, and the applications/services it supports, through Service Level Objectives (SLOs), metrics/Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and continuous operational process improvements.
- Contributes to the Future State Architecture for Broadridge services.
- Defines technical standards, such as cloud infrastructure designs, automation standards, technical operations processes and standard tooling.
- Build, configure, automate and maintain various 3rd party software using AWS Cloud
- Works within and across teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
- Translates business requirements into technical designs, considering automation, availability, performance, scale and cost.
- Ensures technical & security best practices along with Broadridge standards are adhered to in the design of technical infrastructure
- Leads technical design sessions and works closely with multiple teams, including application development teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and clients, if needed, to review the infrastructure designs for new projects.
- Automates the implementation and operational support of the infrastructure.
- Provides estimates of all priority and non-priority projects along with recommended scope or schedule changes based on capacity and unforeseen challenges.
- Leads technical implementation to ensure the quality of the infrastructure, automation and the overall productivity of the SRE (Service Reliability Engineering) team.
- Owns, communicates and sets expectations of day to day work of the SRE (off-shore and on-shore)
- Tracks Service Level Indicators (SLI) to ensure the health of technical infrastructure and Broadridge services.
- Troubleshoots production issues affecting Broadridge services as needed, taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Conducts preventative maintenance to ensure capacity, scaling, security and availability of Broadridge services.
- Understands dependencies between infrastructure components, vendor software, custom software and other parts of the processing stack that support Broadridge Services
- Collaborates with peers and other technical teams, such as development teams, architecture, database teams, storage teams, server teams, security teams to prevent and shorten production incidents.
- Defines Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for Broadridge Services
- Implements additional operational improvements for automation, monitoring and incident management to increase the reliability of Broadridge services.
- Present and explain Broadridge infrastructure and operational processes to clients and industry groups, as needed. Seeks ways to improve the alignment of Broadridge technology infrastructure to clients' needs.
- 7+ years of experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer
- Experience working in a Lead role
- You should have extensive experience using the below technologies:
- OS: Linux, Windows
- Automation: Terraform, Bladelogic, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible
- Cloud: AWS commonly used services, EKS, Container, RDS, ECS,
- Scripting: Powershell, Perl, Shell Scripts, Python
- Monitoring/Loging: Datadog, Cloudwatch, CloudTrail, Splunk
- You should have System Design and Architecture, DevOps / Deployment automation, Troubleshooting, Service Monitoring experience
- Strong aptitude for learning new skills and new technologies.
- Bachelors (Master's Preferred) degree in computer science, computer engineering, or in a related field.
