Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking a Lead Production Equipment Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone to maintain/monitor inserter/finishing equipment hardware and operating software performance. We need an individual to provide on-the-job training to less experienced associates and share knowledge and experience with less experienced/knowledgeable team members.
Responsibilities:
- Leads and provides direction (i.e., job prioritization and technical support) to assigned Technical Support staff To ensure team resources are accurately allocated and used. Strives to minimize downtime and assist Production Operations in improving productivity, efficiency and quality.
- Communicates with Production and Technical Support leadership to ensure a consistent flow of work and that repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance requests are accurately prioritized and completed on a timely basis. Provides equipment status information to management throughout each shift.
- Uses proven proficiency in operating software to create/change Modes, upgrade and modify equipment to meet the needs of Production Operations.
- Moves, relocates and performs set up of production equipment.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoots production equipment issues, including equipment related to archival storage and retrieval of computer-generated data. Responds to support calls in a prompt manner to ensure timely resolution.
- Effectively tracks parts usage and provides feedback to management and the Inventory Analyst with regard to suggested inventory levels.
- Appropriately logs all support calls into the technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX) to ensure all work time and parts are appropriately accounted for.
- Ensures compliance with maintenance records in accordance with OSHA and EPA requirements. This may include the use and maintenance of an equipment tracking database. Consistently adheres to all safety procedures.
- Delegates basic repair and maintenance tasks as the need arises to more junior technicians and follows up to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Provides feedback to leadership regarding performance appraisals of junior technicians.
- Fabricates simple fixtures as the need arises with a high level of focus on identifying ways to reduce parts costs while maintaining or improving the functionality/safety of production equipment.
- Researches current versions and models of vendor software
- Provides training support and shares knowledge with assigned technicians as it relates to both hardware repairs/PMs, software, job setups, and mode modifications.
- Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

- Associate degree and Technical/Trade School
- 8 -10 years' experience within a high-volume production environment with resultant knowledge of insertion/finishing equipment
- A proven proficiency in the operation, repair and maintenance of insertion/finishing equipment, electric and electric circuit experience necessary
- Full understanding and working knowledge of equipment software and operating systems. Experience in mode building and implementation. Full functional abilities around transferring of software, upgrading software and modifying software used in our production operations equipment.
- Understanding and working knowledge of LAN configuration, hardware, cabling and functionality of components
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Project Planning experience
- 40+ hours Safety Training Certification, BR or Vendor Certification.
- 40+ hours external Certified Training on related equipment. No less then 3 Vendor/Equipment training/repair certifications.
- 8+ hours Safety/Electrical Training
- 16+ hours Recertification as needed on any/all existing training annually. With a minimum of 3 Vendor/Equipment Certifications.
- Salary Rate: $55,000 - $83,000 per year depending on experience
- Bonus Eligibility:
- Annual Bonus: You will be eligibletoreceive a management by objectives bonus
