Main Responsibilities:
- Design major aspects of the data architecture, including components such as databases and files.
- Experience in designing data migration and conversion solutions while maintaining data integrity across the platform
- Provide technical leadership to the application development team
- Perform database design and modeling reviews
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout database design full lifecycle
- Document database backup/recovery processes, and standards
- Anticipates potential performance problems and constraints associated with the data design being developed.
- Experience in designing data migration and conversion solutions while maintaining data integrity across the platform.
- Identify the supporting tools required to perform data analysis.
- Document Data development processes, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as data architect, preferably experience in DB2 and IMS databases
- Extensive experience in aligning data models with business needs.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good collaboration and communication skills.
- Familiar or knowledge with the following environment and technologies: Mainframe (Z/OS), Application development: CICS, PL/I, Cobol, Enterprise PL/I, Database: DB2 and IMS
