The Business Analyst will work directly with internal and external clients to gather and document business and functional requirements. They will implement Broadridge services and provide functional leadership in the design and development of software applications.

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Leverage your curiosity to quickly immerse yourself in our impressive product offerings to understand how Broadridge's solutions can increase your clients' operational efficiency and effectiveness and increase their end clients' satisfaction.
  • Drive analytical problem-solving and deep dives to solve non routine problems that will drive client-centric solutions.
  • Work closely with clientsto ensure their requirements are captured and communicated to internal and partner technical staff accurately as they relate to overall product offerings.
  • Work closely with the Product and Development teams to ensure requirements are appropriately documented for both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Work closely with internal and partner technology teams to define data modelling, file transformations, and both operational and business process flows.
  • Work closely with clients, internal, partner technology, and operational teams to document data mapping and document layout requirements for both print and digital financial solutions.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with Product, Development, QA, partners, and other stakeholders to review client requirements as they relate to solution functionality.
  • Perform gap analysis between requirements and product features - identify custom requirements and define solutions.
  • Provide direction to clients regarding business processing rules within Broadridge products and services.
  • Review system enhancement requests, work requests, and problem reports for feasibility and completeness for all Broadridge Products.
  • Prepare documentation for clients, Development, QA, and partners.
  • Review test plans and support QA to verify test output meets with client requirements and expectations.
  • Investigate system problems and propose solutions and/or design improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or business.
  • Certification in the field of Business Analysis is an asset.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years business analyst experience in a technical environment.
  • Research skills, top-notch problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to perform high-quality work within tight timelines across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in the Print and/or Financial industry is an asset.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently is critical.
Skills:
  • Outstanding communication skills - teamwork and a service-oriented attitude are essential with excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, systematic, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to speak with clients (internal and external), partners (internal and external), and present technical information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Must create and maintain positive peer and client relationships.
  • Ability to write complex SQL statements to query the database.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and MS Access Databases.
Tools:
  • Data modeling, data mapping, process modeling
  • Wireframe and mockup tools
  • Database viewer such as SQL Developer
  • Ability to read XML, CSVand other file layouts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, etc.).
