WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Industry Marketing Lead for Retail & eCommerce, you will be responsible for developing and executing industry-specific marketing strategies that resonate with Retail & eCommerce brands. This role will focus on driving adoption and demonstrating the value of Braze’s platform in helping these brands achieve their marketing objectives. You will work closely with our sales, product marketing, and customer success teams to position Braze as the leading customer engagement solution in the Retail & eCommerce industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industry Marketing Strategy:
    • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to the Retail & eCommerce industry
    • Collaborate with sales and sales strategy teams to align Braze’s value proposition with industry-specific marketing objectives and business outcomes
    • Develop a go-to-market strategy targeting key Retail & eCommerce audiences, leveraging industry insights to drive platform adoption
  • Content Creation & Campaign Development:
    • Create and manage content and marketing programs that highlight the relevance of Braze for the Retail & eCommerce industry, from white papers and case studies to webinars and thought leadership
    • Work with product marketing to develop client-facing materials that effectively communicate the value of Braze’s platform and industry solutions
    • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to generate and distribute deep insights that matter to our Retail & eCommerce customers
  • Relationship Management & Industry Expertise:
    • Serve as Braze’s expert on the Retail & eCommerce industry, offering insights and expertise to internal teams and clients
    • Train sales teams and facilitate the ongoing exchange of knowledge and best practices across regions and departments
    • Gather and synthesize feedback from sales, clients, and agencies to inform content, research, and product development, ensuring our solutions meet industry needs

  • Industry Expert: You bring deep knowledge of the Retail & eCommerce industry, with a proven track record of developing effective marketing strategies in this space
  • Collaborative Leader: You excel in cross-functional environments and can influence and lead teams across different departments
  • Communicator: You have exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas simply and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Problem Solver: You have a resourceful and analytical mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive execution

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus
  • 5-7 years of marketing or sales experience, with expertise in the Retail & eCommerce industry preferred
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including customer engagement platforms and marketing automation tools
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with key stakeholders

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $121,000 and $135,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $175,000 and $195,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
