Overview:
The Channel Manager is responsible for translating product/brand strategies into channel and customer specific business plans. They work very closely with our Sales Team, Product Development Team, Finance Team, and Operations Team to build detailed activity plans to achieve product and account goals.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve budgeted sales and profitability at assigned accounts.
- Work with the Sales and Product teams to manage customer mix maximizing sales and margin for the company and our retailer partners.
- Commercialize new products and programs in market.
- Line review planning
- Develop promotional strategies to drive sales while enhancing margins.
- Set customer pricing based on product category, and customer specific, margin requirements.
- POS data and market analysis: use syndicated and customer specific data to assist Product Managers and Sales Managers to track performance of our items/categories/market trends.
- Drive efficiencies by reducing non-productive costs at the customer level.
- Work with Sales, Product Development, Finance, and Operations to manage day-to-day business activities at key accounts.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Five years consumer packaged goods experience and/or four-year business college degree.
- Ability to read and analyze syndicated data such as IRI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to:
- Build pricing models
- Analyze financial data
- Assimilate data from various sources
- Proficiency of Microsoft PowerPoint to create customer presentations.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including strong time management and organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively to small and large audiences.
- Ability to direct and interact with various departments to accomplish company objectives.
