Job Description:
Partnering with Mobility and Convenience leaders, the Digital Commerce Strategy Specialist will drive the development of a mid-term and long-term (3-5 years) digital commerce strategy for Mobility & Convenience, Americas with a focus on commercial growth and global alignment. Provide external and broader internal insights as input into the digital commerce strategy. Communicate, monitor and report on the Mobility &Convenience Americas digital commerce strategy and performance to deliver a differentiated, competitive offering.
- Commercial
- Define, assess and monitor current market, industry, competitive landscape and buyer personas and identify future target markets, and offerings (products/services) and buyers
- Articulate, align and communicate a digital commerce 3-5 year strategic roadmap through roadmap refresh and portfolio management processes
- Conduct value assessments and identify 3-5 plans for commercialization of data
- Gather and apply voice of the customer, innovative and non-traditional ideas to develop a product/service portfolio, including product/service positioning, pricing and contract strategies and overall portfolio profitability analyses
- Identify correlations and seek to optimize interdependencies and minimize conflicts between digital, fuel and non-fuel transactions

- Serve as an evangelist to share the vision and opportunities and gain understanding and support from stakeholders and Mobility & Convenience, Americas team members
- Align with the broader Mobility & Convenience and Consumer &Products businesses to share opportunities and lessons learned, and seek and pursue alignments
- Actively participate in relevant global fleet forums bringing forward regional perspectives
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree
- MBA encouraged
Experience
- 10+ years convenience retail related experience – operational or strategic
- Experience leading efforts in a highly matrixed, global organization
- Experience managing conflict and aligning stakeholders at all levels
Skills & Competencies
- Over 10 years of experience and proven record of achievement in a combination of strategic planning and digital commerce, including:
- Experience in retail media networks and offer distribution, at scale
- Experience in customer marketplaces
- Experience in data as a product and/or data monetization
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels within and outside bp, work independently and remotely, and be comfortable with minimal guidance and ambiguity, without holding a position of hierarchical authority.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate complex concepts to broad audiences for understanding and consensus.
- Strong negotiation skills, prioritization, and the ability to navigate competing demands and complex problems.
- Entrepreneurial self-starter, proven ability to challenge conventional methods of working, examine multiple options, take on innovative & new solutions, and think creatively and strategically while handling complex issues.
- Highly motivated by these challenges and deeply passionate about making things happen, with the ability to work across large, complex organizations to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge, building trust and confidence
