WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

This People Operations Generalist will play a critical role in fulfilling the People Operations Team's mission to design, continually develop, and reliably deliver People programs, processes, and systems that help grow our business at scale.

You will be aligned to and support the Engineering and Product organization within Box, providing you the opportunity to deeply understand the business and build strong relationships with leaders within those teams. This role will help shape the employee experience for all Boxers by providing efficient world-class service and thoughtful curation of moments-that-matter in Boxers' lives. You will serve as the backbone of our processes across the employee lifecycle, all while learning alongside a highly collaborative (and fun!) team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own core program design for the People Operations Team; provide support for operational programs, including onboarding, contingent worker management, separations, and more!
  • Lead the daily operations of our U.S. immigration program, collaborating with our excellent immigration law firm; manage the coordination and vendor relationship between Box and our external immigration law firm
  • Partner closely with a team of People Partners (HRBPs) to align your support to the "Build" (Product and Engineering) organization within Box - get to know the business and become their consultant on all things HR
  • Provide functional and tactical recommendations to leaders based on knowledge of best practices & Box processes to drive meaningful improvements and long-term fixes
  • Lead accurate operational execution for internal mobility and Boxer changes -- from our People ticketing system (ServiceDesk) and HRIS (Workday) to letter generation
  • Ensure the People Team's compliance with key controls, assisting in audit and compliance initiatives
  • Work on ad-hoc People Operations projects as assigned by the team to support growth and scale, as well as further your own development!


WHO YOU ARE

Required skills
  • Process design & ownership: demonstrate proactive ownership by offering innovative and constructive ideas to further our team's success
  • Discretion: operate with discretion, integrity, and respect with engaging with sensitive issues or information
  • Attention to detail: produce consistent and accurate deliverables while dealing with a high volume of data & information
  • Adaptability: quickly analyze, understand, and adapt to new situations and business problems
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn new technologies (i.e. Workday, ServiceDesk, Box for HR)
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources (or related field)

Preferred skills
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday a plus!) and transactions
  • B.S./B.A. preferred

$65,000 - $81,000 USD
