As a dynamic and visionary Director of Product, you will be at the forefront of shaping our Client's product strategy and driving innovation. Leveraging your strategic mindset and proven leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring that our products align with the company's objectives, meet market demands, and exceed customer expectations. This role is responsible for leading and inspiring a high-performance product team and fostering a customer-centric culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. The Director of Product works closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver exceptional products or services.

Key Responsibilities

    • The Director of Product must be a strategic leader who is business-oriented, and willing to roll up her/his sleeves to define and execute the product strategy, including the following key responsibilities:
    • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product owners and UI/UX designers.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product team.
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent to meet the company's needs.
    • Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, to meet project and departmental objectives.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
    • Strategic Planning:
    • Partner with leadership to define the product goals and long-term product development plans.
    • Collaborate with partners across the organization on feature definition, prioritization, and validation.
    • Establish a compelling future product vision that aligns with Tribute's long-term product goals
    • Establish and communicate departmental goals, objectives, and key results (OKRs) to the product team, fostering a shared vision and sense of purpose.
    • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, adjusting plans as necessary to adapt to changing market conditions or business priorities.
    • Conduct market research on funeral industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Proactively contact customers to gather valuable insights and opinions on the product
    • Vision Execution:
    • Oversee the execution and successful delivery of key initiatives on time and within budget.
    • Establish and enforce Product Management best practices, including Agile methodologies, to ensure efficient project execution.
    • Ensure that product deliverables meet high-quality standards and adhere to best practices for software development.
    • Communicate product advancements to key stakeholders and represent funeral home solutions team in critical product update meetings

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in product leadership roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with product management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
    • Ability to make strategic decisions and drive innovation with minimal supervision.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
