Practice Area Profile

What You'll Do

As a UX/UI Designer intern, you will be an integral part of the BCG X Delivery team. Your role will be instrumental in sculpting extraordinary user experiences across a diverse array of intricate products, in collaboration with fellow designers, developers, data scientists and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess the adeptness to be able to take a design all the way from concept into polished high-fidelity mock-ups that seamlessly address the demands of both the business and the end user.

Responsibilities:

Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deconstruct stakeholder problems and utilize visual skills to propose adequate solutions.
Value and apply existing customer insights from research to guide design decisions, while also initiating and supporting research efforts with partners.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of, and the ability to apply, common visual and interaction design principles and practices, from initial sketching through wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping.
Clearly frame problems and opportunities through the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, along with customer and stakeholder perspectives.
Propose creative visual communications to streamline research messages to teams and stakeholders, such as user journeys, personas, and systemic maps.
Triangulate stakeholder vision, user insights, and team discussion inputs, integrating these insights into relevant design propositions.
Facilitate ideation sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Effectively and appropriately use design systems, understanding the differences and similarities between various design systems/platforms.
Test and iterate on physical and digital designs with stakeholders and users.
Create routine, informative communication materials to explain the rationale behind design decisions to team members and stakeholders.
Partner with product managers, engineers, and content designers to solve customer problems using an agile approach.
Understand and incorporate feasibility, viability, and strategic stakeholder constraints into designs.
Collect, process, and act on design feedback constructively.
Effectively use design, ideation, testing, and other tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Dovetail, testing tools).

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

Experience in designing B2B and B2C products demonstrated through a portfolio that highlights your visual capabilities and UX/UI design perspective.

Proficiency in using Figma as the primary tool for creating experiences.

Extensive experience in developing wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups for developer implementation.

Skilled in design thinking to identify issues and devise creative solutions by fully understanding user objectives, pain points, and tasks.

Collaborative and practical, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills; open to mentoring and guiding others.

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or a related design field is preferred.

An entrepreneurial mindset, ready to tackle diverse user and stakeholder challenges.

Proficiency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of French is highly valued.
