Practice Area Profile

What You'll Do

Candidates should possess an entrepreneurial drive and have demonstrated experience in client service & working with company transformation projects. As an Analyst you will work in a growing global team, providing industry & topic expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, methodologies, software solutions, analysis and expert advisory. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.

Additionally, you will support your topic/sector in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge/software assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As an Analyst, you will assist with on-boarding, training and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.

Primary Responsibilities Include (and not limited to):

• Collaborates with BCG case teams, clients, and experts to understand business problems, and suggest appropriate methodology/software solutions based on client's business needs and program specifics.
• Demonstrates understanding of the client's overall problem and generates framework or solutions for team quickly.
• Gains a deep understanding of BCG Transform & Post-Merger-Integration (PMI) methodologies, proactively applying them to client cases through relevant knowledge assets or software solutions.
• Serves as a thought partner, providing problem-solving insights and sector expertise, while building credibility with case teams and clients.
• Manages implementation project plans with clients, setting realistic expectations based on current methodology, product, and service offerings.
• Engages in a solution-oriented approach, addressing client inquiries and issues timely, while continuously seeking opportunities for service improvement.
• Collects, synthesizes, and analyzes case team learnings and outputs to develop new proprietary assets.
• Translates methodology into applicable software product(s) where required; configures solutions to tailor it to client context to generate insightful solutions (no technical/coding knowledge required).
• Collaborates with Client, Engineering and relevant Support teams to help diagnose and resolve software related technical and/or non-technical problems, bugs, performance, and other issues.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

Skills

• Working independently or virtually, as well as in a team environment.
• Communication Skills with outstanding written and oral skills; able to adapt communication style to multiple stakeholders and cultures.
• MVP (minimum viable product) based solutioning, client support and customer success.

• Enthusiasm for, and aptitude in rapidly developing skills in transformation-related fields like Transformation, restructuring, change management, and post-merger integration.
• Solid understanding of financial KPIs from P&L and Balance Sheets, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and financial modeling.
• Skills in data analysis tools like Tableau or Alteryx are advantageous, alongside the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international team environment.
• Willingness to learn new tools & methodologies as when they become relevant for the team.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing skills, and ability to adapt communication across diverse stakeholders, with a proactive approach in decision-making and issue escalation.

Education & Work Experience


• 2-3+ years of consulting experience in Transformation topic required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
• In lieu of consulting experience, 2+ years of minimum industry experience required; 3-4+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business management/administration, Finance, or related topics (advanced degree preferred)
• Excellent in written and verbal English. Additional language skills are always good to have.
