Practice Area Profile
BCG's Industrial Goods Practice (IG) is divided into three broad sectors, Automotive, Greentech & Engineered Products (G&EP), Materials & Process Industries (MPI).
BCG has a well-established reputation and leading role in the Industrial Goods industry working with major industry players globally. Our approach positions companies for success in the face of current challenges.
It also prepares them to ride impending waves of change, such as shifting trends in global trade, the uncertainty and volatility of the post-pandemic reality, and consumer and regulatory demands for improvements in sustainability.
What You'll Do
As a Project Leader within BCG's Industrial Goods Practice, you will be a core member of our practice working alongside some of the world's top minds in industry. You will help companies from a variety of Industrial goods branches through decisive changes. On a day to-day basis, this will translate in:
• Supporting the growth of our Industrial goods practice through case execution, client development, and intellectual property & product creation
• Executing or providing expertise on projects within the industrial goods branches for our key clients in automotive, aerospace, and material and process industries in Paris
• Working jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site
• Leading project workstreams and a small team of consultants
• Providing intellectual leadership for the project teams by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis
• Contributing to the creation of BCG's intellectual capital on different topics within the material and process industries: innovation, publications, toolkits, benchmarks, templates, processes as well as position papers, studies, and insights from case experience
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
You would typically have:
• Broad, hands on experience working in diverse projects in the industrial goods arena (automotive, chemicals, mining, metals, agribusiness, building materials, aerospace...) and a track record of team leadership and related achievements
• Over 7-8 years of work experience
• Deep knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following industries: automotive, aerospace, materials and process industries
• Work from client sites
• Strong academic track record
• Fluency in English and French
• Flexible, curious and creative and able to propose innovative ideas
• Experience of working in multi-cultural and diverse teams
LOCATION
When you Join BCG's Paris office, you will work for the strategy consulting leader in France and one of the Boston Consulting Groups most prominent offices. It is also one of the largest offices in our network with a team of 500+ consultants, out of which there are about 50 partners and managing directors.
