WHAT YOU'LL DO
ROLE PROFILE (What you'll do)

You will be a core member of the LAB Communications team, primarily supporting the LAB PR & Corporate Communications Managers and Senior Director across both media relations and corporate communications, to promote the best of BCG to our key audiences. The LAB Communications team sits within the wider LAB Marketing & Communications function.

You will:
Support the PR & Corporate Communications team with the delivery of the LAB PR programme, leading on key campaign elements and supporting the senior team on execution
Build relationship with key journalists, in line with the focus of the PR strategy
Review global reports and select content with PR mileage in the UK, and across the LAB system

Act as a key member of the LAB PR team, reporting key updates to wider BCG teams around the world
Liaise with BCG partners / in-house experts and host media interviews
Handle incoming media queries
Monitor for relevant issues and news on a daily basis
Work with the PR & Corporate Communications managers on evaluation for key announcements
Support the PR & Corporate Communications team with agency management
Have a keen interest in the core themes driving business conversation (eg AI, Climate & Sustainability, Competitiveness)
Drive metrics and reporting
Act as lead on team management and co-ordination, supporting the team with internal meeting management and status reports and driving forward key actions

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Supporting the delivery of effective PR/external comms programmes
Growing and nurturing a network of strong relationships with leading journalists, particularly in the UK
Quickly establishing a good understanding of a wide variety of industries
Problem solving, creative thinking and flexibility of approach
Writing and copy editing: prioritising messages and adapting style for different voices, audiences and objectives
High level of organisation and ability to drive forward projects with multiple stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority
Maintaining high quality standards under pressure
Working in a fast-paced dynamic organisation
Being a team player

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

BA preferred, at least 3+ years of corporate press experience, ideally in a top-tier UK PR agency
Demonstrable experience building strong relationships with target UK media
Genuine interest and knowledge of the UK media ecosystem and cycle
Genuine interest and knowledge of the professional services environment
Excellent understanding of the components of a corporate news piece, article, feature, op-ed or by-lined comment piece
