Global IT Data Engineer Senior Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The BCG Data Team is an integral part of BCG's global operations. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the BCG internal data platform. Our team consists of members from Boston, London, Munich, and New Delhi working together in a highly collaborative environment. We are responsible for setting the standards and guardrails for BCG's internal data architecture, data pipeline, governance, integration, and security framework. Together, our team provides a centralized data platform that enables advanced operational insights and analytics for BCG stakeholders.

To continue to meet the ever-evolving IT needs of BCG, we are looking to add a driven, passionate, and curious Platforms Engineer to our team. You will work closely with crossed disciplinary teams at BCG with the goal of designing and implementing code pipelines, for CICD , Data Operations for the company. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for optimizing the automation and monitoring the security of our internal data platform.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Designing, building, and maintaining data pipeline for enterprise level
Possess exceptional knowledge of SQL
Possess proven experience with CI/CD tools and platforms
Proactively identifying data issues and triaging potential remediations
Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating in a fast-changing environment
Investigate /Evaluate tool as per business need and responsible for infrastructure setup for that.
Make sure following security standards as per company's compliance policy.
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python or similar languages.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Minimum of Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields
5+ years of work experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries, including Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL/ELT tools, including DBT,Airflow, or similar platforms
3+ years of work experience with Data Platforms
1+ year development experience in Python or similar scripting languages for data automation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git/Gitlab
Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and AWS CodePipeline.
