Role Description:
This role Global Category Procurement Lead is responsible for the third-party contracts and relationships for Financial Services, inclusive of Tax, Accounting, Risk, Insurance, Debt Collection, Treasury Services and other projects/subcategories as needed. Reporting to the Category Manager of Global Procurement, the role has global responsibilities across all Booking Holdings brands, including Booking.com, Rentalcars.com, Priceline.com, Agoda, Kayak, and OpenTable, with a total category spend exceeding ₠80-100 Million.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Structure, develop and implement procurement category strategies for Financial Services, with an eye on Total Cost of Ownership
- Drive savings and value delivery initiatives through sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvement, managing the end-to-end S2P process
- Actively participate in the implementation of Procurement processes and tools as well as associated policies
- Manage key third-party relationships (vendor management), develop reporting to provide stakeholders key information/insights and drive resolutions with any stakeholder and vendor escalations
- Influence change in the mindset of stakeholders and brands to work as one combined company to maximize the value of contracts and vendor relationships
Qualifications & Skills:
- Familiarity with working with top-tier global consulting, accounting and tax firms, with an ability to manage tactical as well as strategic projects consistently.
- Ability to work globally across decentralized organizations (5 different Business Units/brands) and comfortable in working with ambiguity in a corporate environment in a journey to improve processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build rapport and credibility with business partners, including senior leadership.
- Motivation to evolve a selection of sub-categories to a strategic level that genuinely adds to the Value agenda that the Global Procurement department is looking to serve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills.
- Flexibility to operate across different time zones when needed. This role will service EMEA, and APAC stakeholders.
- The educational and professional qualifications, skills, and experience that may be required
- Bachelor's Degree and relevant (5+ years) experience in Financial Services or Professional Services sourcing, experience working in any of the above sub-categories or joining from a Financial Services organizational background would be beneficial
- Any specific certifications or licenses that may be necessary.
