Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead user research efforts to deeply understand our customers' needs and behaviors, informing our design and business decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create meaningful and data-driven experiences across all of Booking.com's products, from accommodations to transportation.
- Lead research projects to gather deep insights about user behaviors and preferences through a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy, design decisions, and business direction.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user-centered thinking throughout the development process.
- Advocate for user needs by clearly communicating research findings and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Drive innovation by finding opportunities for new product and feature development based on user insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in quantitative research, data analysis, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading complex research projects, ideally with a focus on consumer-facing products and services.
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
- Required data analysis experience using SQL or Python to interpret complex datasets, derive insights, and enable data-driven decision-making. Advanced knowledge of either SQL or Python is mandatory.
- Lead complex quantitative research projects, applying statistical methods, mathematical modeling, and econometric techniques to analyze large datasets.
- Proven ability to translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong collaboration influence, presentation, and negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across different functions.
- A passion for understanding user needs and behaviors, with a focus on creating delightful experiences.
- Experience working in fast-paced, international environments is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or a related field.
