Role Description

As a SAP Junior developer, you will be responsible for implementing technology that enables and extends solutions to meet business requirements and fits into Booking.com's system architecture. Responsible for implementing changes and new functions, testing new developments, collaborating with SAP specialists, stakeholders and developers. Give strong support for maintaining and improving all Financial processes, systems and functionalities, which requires good understanding of Financial terms and processes. Actively contributing in identifying best technical solutions together with SAP specialists, learning and sharing knowledge of new technologies.

Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. We're looking for humble, ambitious people who are keen to develop and grow, pick up new technologies and responsibilities.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Converting business requirements into technical design and implement them in line with existing standards and system architecture
  • Support business and functional stakeholders with implementing an innovative solution in SAP S4 using compliant methodologies
  • Build test options for technical solutions, using Booking.com's test methodology and tools
  • Maintain, keep up-to-date and review technical documentations to guide internal and external users, publish them on Booking's internal forums
  • Build front-end applications applying the local booking or standard SAP best practices, guidelines
  • Implement changes, bug fixes and new functions based on business requirements
  • Convert functional requirements into technical specification
  • Contribute in 2nd and 3rd line of technical support activities
  • Contribute to the team spirit by encourage the openness for new solutions, continuous learning and innovation
  • Learn new technologies and build innovative solutions
  • Optimize and redesign old functions, to improve business processes using SAP best practices
  • Share knowledge with other colleagues

Qualifications & Skills

  • Good to have - Knowledge of financial processes, FICA, accounting functions and activities
  • Good level of knowledge of ABAP with at least 3 years of development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Systems and its ABAP development techniques for RICEFW, API development and eclipse IDE.
  • At least a basic SAP FIORI development experience.
  • Good development knowledge of S4HANA and new ABAP 7.5x syntax (CDS, RAP, AMDP)
  • Familiarity with OOPs concepts like classes, inheritance, polymorphism, and interfaces in ABAP.
  • Very good understanding of all Financial activities, functions, processes
