In the journey to further professionalize Booking.com and our industry, we are building a dedicated Partner Process team to support this journey. The team is responsible for managing, governing and optimizing all regulatory processes and acts as a single point of contact for all process related matters across the organization.

The role of Global Process Owner is responsible to identify, design and drive process innovations. This includes ensuring the process is governed by ensuring all changes are documented and agreed upon with all stakeholders in and outside of the business unit.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • End-to-end responsibility for governing and designing a process domain and being the counterpart for all senior stakeholders to ensure business results are obtained within the ABU and other departments (e.g. CS, Credit control, FinTech)
  • Collaborate and influence product teams (Segments, FinTech) to ensure process changes are built timely and meeting the performance as agreed with our legal / tax departments and in line of the external compliance requirements (e.g. DAC7, DSA)
  • Host regular MBR/QBRs to present the performance and compliance rate to key stakeholders
  • Manage the business change controls, ensuring that all process changes are captured and meeting the external compliance requirements
  • Identify, design, initiate, and drive innovations on the partner processes in scope of the team
  • Work hand in hand with our product organization, ensuring product/tools follow the designed processes and journeys
  • Build and maintain business partner relationships to balance product and process decision, including priorities and feature selection
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the processes and services in scope through continuous monitoring and process feedback
  • Collaborate with other teams to create awareness of the Partner Processes within the company
  • Remain up-to-date on industry information, regulations, new products, enhancements, system changes and compliance issues.
  • Responsible to provide input to regulators and auditors on the functioning of the key processes and the controls
  • Act as mentor to help the development and growth of people within the larger team
  • Co-develop the craft for process excellence in collaboration with other OpEx leaders in the company

Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) with process management
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) with managing projects
  • Advanced (5+ years) of organizational change management experience
  • Knowledge of managing processes in a regulated environment, preferably in the area of know-your-customer
  • Agile and entrepreneur mindset, motivated individual
  • Ownership and drive of continuous process improvements with focus on automation and scale
  • Ability to make independent decisions and set priorities
  • Strong networking and ability to influence others
  • Experience working with and influencing product teams to translate requirements to solutions for the customer
  • Senior stakeholder management skills
