Procurement Category Lead is responsible for the third-party contracts and vendor management for specified categories within Tech Procurement. The position has global responsibilities across all Booking Holdings brands and reports to a Category Manager in the Tech Procurement department which is part of the Booking Holdings Global Procurement and Finance organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Independently negotiate and contract, on local or regional level, the best pricing & terms for various Technology related contracts in order to maximize results - impacting top and bottom line growth - according to our internal strategic directions
  • Drive the commercial process and select the best suitable suppliers
  • Ensure compliance and standards are adhered to
  • Provide support on managing and optimizing the supplier database
  • Identify, build, foster and grow positive relationships with our key stakeholders
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including but not limited to creating added value (cost avoidance, P&L savings etc.), coordinating contract approvals and engaging with other categories
  • Support the team to execute global sourcing processes
  • Support supplier relationship management and supplier performance evaluation activities
  • Support sustainability and vendor diversity initiatives

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in a business-related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience
  • Experience in leading complex negotiations with enterprise Technology suppliers, such as Google, Salesforce, Dell, HP, Microsoft, etc.
  • Experience in multiple Technology subcategories, such as SaaS, Public Cloud, Data Center Hardware, End-user Hardware
  • Learner-mindset and curiosity
  • Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, procure-to-pay
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work independently and in team
  • Excellent knowledge of contract law
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations
  • Demonstrated change management and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop small teams and build credibility with business partners
