Role Description:

For our CS Finance & Control department and to strengthen our growth with talent we are looking for a Junior CS Finance Specialist. The mission of CS Finance is to support and guide Customer Service (CS) through financial control, payment processing, and compliance. In this role, you will be part of the CS Finance & Control Team in Amsterdam, focusing on guest and partner payments. This entry-level role is ideal for graduates with experience in transactional banking or corporate finance. Key responsibilities include processing payments accurately and providing feedback to stakeholders when required. The role requires attention to financial details, quick decision-making, and the potential for growth and additional responsibilities over time.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the team with daily operations and maintain an accurate payout process to our customers.
  • Process payments and handle called out payment-related queries (emails and tickets) from Customer Service colleagues.
  • Categorize tickets, analyze data on trends, and track & trend payment issues.
  • Handle incoming tickets, investigate and resolve requests by either approving or rejecting the ticket, and provide feedback if rejecting.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payments and adherence to internal control procedures in accordance with compliance standards and guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1+ years of relevant job experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Strong digital literacy and well-organized with the ability to prioritize.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and passionate about results, comfortable with decision-making and working with targets and critical metrics.
  • Experience in an international, dynamic work environment preferred, with knowledge of Booking.com customer service standards and guidelines being a plus.
