We're seeking future team members for our Engineering business with roles located in Chennai and Pune in HYBRID positions.

Our Team

Technology Services Group (TSG) powers BNY Mellon by providing scale, capacity, and capability to deliver the critical technology required to operate the global financial services markets.

As part of TSG, the Architecture & Engineering team
  • Defines enterprise technology and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Develops next-generation engineering solutions focused on Resiliency and Innovation.
  • Engineers and integrates the critical systems and platforms used across the Bank and with external Clients.
  1. 8 to 12 of total IT experience and has full exposure of end-to-end SDLC
  2. 1 to 2 years of experience as Solution Architect
  3. Should have basic understanding in Architecture methodologies like TOGAF
  4. Should have working knowledge of working in Architecture tools like Visio or any other EA tool
  5. Should have experience in delivering Architecture artifacts diagrams like Business Architecture, Application Architecture and Deployment Architecture
  6. Experienced and implemented solutions for Architecture patterns like Microservices, Event driven, REST API's
  7. Ability to illicit both functional and Non-functional requirements for business
  8. Able to provide Solutions to address all NFR requirements like Scalability, performance, Security, Availability (HA/DR and other concepts) and Resiliency (RTO/RPO and other concepts)
  9. Understanding of various network protocols- HTTPS, TCP/IP etc., Authentication mechanisms like LDAP etc

Provides application architecture documentation, design and support services to applications teams. Creates flexible and scalable designs for high performance. Enforces best practices and principles of architecture while complying with the firm's architecture policies and procedures. Is responsible for architecture solutions mainly with a line of business focus.

Primary responsibilities include: Design documentation expert based on approved design templates as governed by the EA tooling committee, offering documentation services to the CIO teams. Designs stable and flexible, high-performance solutions aligned with architecture principles. Engages in various design and execution activities with other stakeholders. Coordinates with Solution Architecture team to ensure use of shared service and avoidance of business capability redundancy as part of the application design. Involved in governance and other design activities. Works with application teams to act on design findings/ opportunities as identified with the architecture review board. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred. 5-7 years of experience in technology and architecture roles required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
