We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Product Designer to join our Pershing UX Team . This role is located in Jersey City, NJ.

This will be a flex/remote position.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

The Pershing UX team is responsible for designing and delivering best-in-class user experiences across a range of digital products and services. The team is dedicated to putting the user at the center of everything it does and works closely with product and design teams to create solutions that meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Product Designer to join our User Experience team. This role can be located in Jersey City, NJ.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Perform and provide guidance and technical expertise for the most complex user experience activities that include user research and testing, interaction design, and visual design
  • Perform and lead usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations
  • Present and review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams
  • Actively participate in persona mapping, journey mapping and various ideation activities.
  • Actively participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.
  • Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness
  • Interpret user feedback and insights to improve the user experience
  • Serve as reviewer of usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations for use
  • Provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process utilizing multiple sources of information (field work, interviews, internet, intranet, market data/literature)
  • Independently perform and lead the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards
  • Advocate the user experience across the firm and facilities training for groups outside the UX team
  • Ensure that the developed/revised product achieves the user's specified goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design, best practices, and standards
  • Contribute to the achievement of area objectives
Qualifications:

In this role you will:

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience required.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
You have:
  • Technology product experience, preferably in the financial industry
  • Experience successfully leading complex products, which require engagement from diverse teams with their own set of priorities, to positive outcomes
  • A passion for improving the financial lives of everyday people through the delivery of elegant and powerful digital tools they will want to use

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $89,500 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
