How will your role help us transform hope into reality?
In this 10–12-week summer program, the intern will work on applied statistics topics related to clinical development. Potential project topics include interactive data visualization and reproducible analyses. Interns will learn about how clinical data is collected and analyzed, including the statistical methodologies and considerations typically used in regulated environments. The intern will summarize and give a short presentation of their work at the conclusion of the internship.

What will you do?
This intern position is for the biostatistics team within the Biostatistics and Data Management department. Projects and responsibilities will be crafted along one or multiple of the following key areas based on interest and business needs:
- Learn about how data is collected, processed, and analyzed in clinical trials, as well as the statistical methodologies used for these analyses.
- Learn about the roles of biostatisticians and their relationships to other roles in the context of clinical development.
- Reconstruct and explain statistical analyses from previous clinical trials at Blueprint Medicines.
- Brainstorm and develop visualization tools to help summarize data from ongoing clinical trials.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
What minimum qualifications do we require?
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program in Statistics or Biostatistics from an accredited college or university, with a minimum of one year of graduate school completed when the internship begins.
- Good knowledge of R and/or Python.
What additional qualifications will make you a stronger candidate?
- Experience with Shiny, Shinylive, or an interactive graphics library such as Plotly is preferred.

ONSITE EXPECTATIONS - It would be ideal for the candidate to work on-site in order to participate in program events. We will provide a laptop needed to perform work on-site.

- Slacks or business dress pants, khakis, chinos, dresses, dark jeans without holes
- Button-down shirts, sweaters, blouses, henleys or polo shirts
- Optional cardigans, blazers or sports coats (especially for the colder months)
- Closed-toed shoes such as loafers, Oxfords, boots, pumps or flats
- Simple, professional accessories such as scarves, belts or jewelry
