The Latin America group serves institutional and wealth clients, including corporate, public and industry pension plans, insurance companies, third-party mutual funds, endowments, foundations, charities, corporations, official institutions, banks, registered investment advisors, family offices and all other financial intermediaries throughout the region.
Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range of asset and risk management, as well as advisory services which are relevant to clients' needs. Unified under one global client platform, wealth client business is accountable for client relationships and distribution of products and services and are supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures consistency globally.

BlackRock's Mexico Wealth Team, a division of BlackRock's LatAm business, is currently one of the region's most dynamic businesses. By focusing on financial intermediated sales of BlackRock products through private banks, independent advisors and family offices, the team has helped solidify BlackRock's position as a top provider of investment solutions in the market.
The team owns the distribution of BlackRock-s products and services across the wealth segment in Mexico. The primary business is related to the distribution and client coverage related with one of the most complete suites of Mutual Funds domiciled in the Mexican Market, where BlackRock leads the local industry and offers appropriate product to different end investor segments via local distributors.
Job Purpose/Background:
Responsible for business development of diversified wealth clients across Mexico - including Private Banks, Independent Advisors and Family Offices. The role involves building and developing client relationships at a strategic level, requiring a deep knowledge of products and solutions and client dynamics, maintenance of these relationships, prospecting new opportunities and collaborating closely with clients through the sales cycle.
As a Business Developer Officer, provide BlackRock asset management capabilities to end investors through financial intermediaries. Be effective at selling the entire range of investment solutions available, which includes money market funds, open-end funds, ETFs, managed accounts, and alternative investments (real estate investments, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and hedge funds).
Responsibilities
Driving sales of BlackRock products by developing deep relationships with client´s Investment & commercial strategy functions as well as financial advisors at multiple key distribution partner firms.
• Understand client's necessities and market trends, provide ideas and solutions to intermediaries to improve sales
• Understand the financial services industry and ensure that the Wealth Advisory service to clients is both effective and competitive.
• Build and maintain a strategic relationship with clients.
• Serve as a project manager / liaison between clients and internal teams (marketing, product specialists, sales desk, etc.) to augment sales efforts.
• Develop and negotiate commercial agreements to drive growth in our product & services suite.
• Identify high-potential products, services, and opportunities as well as underperforming clients or segments.
• Track and address training & service gaps.
• Monitor client performance to optimize sales strategies and resource allocation.
• Collect, categorize, and maintain updated client data, mapping the client's investment profile, organizational structure, key contacts, sales opportunity, and priority
• Positioning and differentiating BlackRock and our products against competitor firms and their products.
• Presenting effectively in one-on-one, large groups and conferences
• Maintain an accurate and current log of all activities and opportunities in relevant CRM system
• Mexico travel to meet new and existing clients

Knowledge / Experience:
• High degree of cultural sensitivity
• Command of Spanish and English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite
• Understanding of the retail market, including sales channels at intermediaries, regulation, and trends.
• Experience in distributing investment products and being an excellent partner within the advisory market
• Confirmed knowledge of the markets and economic outlook
• Validated expertise in building and developing client relationships and successfully selling investment products
• Strong teammate, ability to muck in when required, collaborate internally to utilize BlackRock's resources
• A proactive team-player who understands that a highly organized team can drive better performance and can take the lead in driving through improvements in execution and change.
Skills and Qualifications
• 3-5 years as an experienced investment professional is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, OneNote, etc.) Strong overall sales acumen and analytical skills.
• Highly proficient in explaining markets and in positioning/blending the benefits of active portfolios, ETFs, and models.
• Post graduate degree in business or finance is preferred
