The Role:
You will be responsible for supporting the Outsourced Platform Services team with a focus on delivering our proprietary accounting software to existing BlackRock clients. The VP will support asset onboarding, variance analysis, stabilization of the monthly close process, and the transition to the client's production support team. A key function will be improving processes controls, and user experience while collaborating with other areas of the BlackRock organization. This role supports many opportunities for continued professional development within Outsourced Platform Services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop a detailed knowledge of BlackRock's capabilities, products, and services centered around the Aladdin ® product offering.
- Successfully lead implementations for existing clients onto BlackRock Aladdin's proprietary accounting software, while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Provide feedback and improvement ideas to the product/engineering teams to enhance system functionality.
- Leverage your analytical abilities to identify and assess inefficiencies utilizing a strong aptitude assessing and defining new processes and procedures
- Possess the technical and accounting knowledge to understand how accounting data flows through the platform to ultimately generate journal entries and financial and regulatory reports.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and new accounting standards to ensure our insurance clients comply with IFRS, US Statutory, US GAAP, and other accounting bases.
- Help continuously improve the control framework to reduce risk and integrate the latest business and product developments.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in investments/markets with a focus on investment accounting.
- Experience leading accounting system implementations.
- Comprehensive understanding of key accounting reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Trial Balance).
- Capability to understand complex data flows with a strong emphasis in reconciling large data sets.
- Proven track record of demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable in regulatory and accounting standards.
- Experience with the following financial instruments; securities, derivatives, alternatives, and loans.
- Continuous operational improvement and control enhancement mentality.
- Fluency (written and oral) in English required
For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD$132,000.00 - USD$180,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
