Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, Product Managers within Aladdin Product Management (APM) work closely with Aladdin developers, business stakeholders and clients to innovate, conceptualize, design and pilot new capabilities to simplify our clients' business problems.
Job Purpose/ Background: As a Product Manager in the Aladdin Client Reporting APM Team, you will be focused on product development and deployment of next-generation Client Reporting technology for BlackRock and Aladdin Clients.

In your role, you will work alongside a team of Product Managers and will be expected to coordinate and manage dependencies across the Client Reporting ecosystem. You will also work closely with Engineering, Reporting and Accounting teams, as well as Clients to execute and deliver on the product vision. You will be organized and detailed with experience partnering with cross-functional teams to manage the product backlog and drive results. You will be comfortable with complex data analysis across investment and accounting data sets, with the ability to coordinate and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences to deliver on requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
o Own the product roadmap to deliver the Aladdin Client Reporting Platform and Distribution capabilities for BlackRock and external clients o Define the features and write detailed requirements necessary to deliver new technology to market. You will be responsible for partnering with SMEs in Reporting and Accounting teams to articulate the 'what' and work with engineering and design teams to determine the 'when' and 'how' o Being deeply involved in all aspects of the PDLC (product development lifecycle) including data analysis, gathering requirements, prioritization, implementation, testing and go-to-market strategies o Forming a deep understanding of buy-side Investment Management workflows and the life of a trade through the Aladdin Technology ecosystem o Train users and act as the SME across Aladdin o Measure user experience and feedback to inform future product strategy o Prepare project plans, track risks and issues, and report out to stakeholders on project progress and status o Stay attuned to industry and technology trends and competitor product landscape across Client Reporting solutions in the market
If you see yourself doing these activities, then you probably have:
Experience / Qualifications: • Experience of 3+ years working in the Financial Industry • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification - Finance and Technology subjects advantageous • Product Management, Project Management or Business Analysis experience preferred
Technical: • Experience in using Investment Management systems and post-trade applications (Aladdin, Charles River, Clearwater, FactSet) • Data analysis skills in querying complex data sets and data-driven business analysis using SQL, Excel, Macros • Understanding of product and software development lifecycles • Experience with agile development practices and working with engineering and design teams to deliver long term and incremental product improvements • Experience creating a product roadmap, writing business and technical specifications, executing on product deliverables
Business: • Solid understanding of the investment management and trade lifecycle and buy-side operations across public and alternative asset classes is highly desirable • Broad understanding of all aspects of a data warehouse ecosystem, including data transformation, storage and reporting toolsets • Experience in hosting client demonstrations and presentations, and interacting with product stakeholders
