About this role
Alternatives Client Platform ("ACP") supports the coordination and administration of the investor communication programmed to ensure a best in class client experience for BlackRock's Private Markets investors. This team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including production of client & fund reports, marketing collateral and presentations, maintaining platform data and analytics and the roll out of new technologies to create a scalable platform. We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to support the team. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing multiple deliverables and tasks concurrently. BlackRock Private Markets
BlackRock's Private Debt Platform consists of more than 170 investment professionals located in 19 BlackRock offices managing over $65bn of AUM across a broad range of asset classes including:
- Direct Lending;
- Growth Lending;

Alternative Client Platform ("ACP")
ACP's objective is to enhance client experience via a centralized platform to drive investor relations activities across our rapidly growing Alternatives business. ACP serves as one of the major hubs to support the coordination and administration of the investor communication programme to ensure a best in class client experience. Located in Atlanta, Budapest, London and Seattle, ACP is primarily responsible for delivering client reporting and fundraising support in partnership with our investment, client and operational teams. By developing and sharing best practices from across BlackRock Alternatives and the alternatives industry, ACP drives scale and innovation while enhancing productivity.
Role Profile
We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to help grow our Private Debt business. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing multiple deliverables and tasks concurrently. The role represents an opportunity to learn Alternatives asset classes and grow your career at BlackRock, the pre-eminent global asset manager.
Client reporting
- Coordination of production of formal quarterly reporting packages by leveraging portfolio-level and market updates from portfolio managers, asset managers and fund administration teams across a variety of BlackRock Alternatives businesses
- Contribute to quarterly investor templates - review and distribution
- Prepare market review write ups including market outlooks for segments in credit markets
Due Diligence support
- Data room management
- Maintenance of standard RFP answer library in Responsive
- RFP production in conjunction with Product Strategy
- Coordination of bespoke client due diligence requests
- Completion of industry surveys and consultant questionnaires
Fundraising support
- Maintain and update product pitchbooks and other standard marketing collateral with platform level data
- Submit materials through the central compliance system, and address follow-ups
- Quarterly update of performance and track record information as required
- Work closely with senior IR professionals to ensure meeting follow-ups are completed
Client Communications
- Oversee BAU and proactively address service issues including:
- Showcase experience by handling complex ad hoc client requests, both quantitative and qualitative, in relation to the impact of the financial market developments on portfolio performance and positioning
- Coordination of Annual LP event planning and preparation of materials in partnership with Product Strategy
- Coordination and preparation of fund webcasts in partnership with Product Strategy
- Preparation and coordination of formal investor communications in partnership with Product Strategy
Operations
- Support and investigate technology and process options to scale and automate routine client service activities
- Drive projects to enhance productivity through technology and process re-engineering
Key Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
- Persuasive and polished written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Meticulous attention to detail
- High proficiency in Excel, with ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet
- Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint, with ability to create marketing slides
- Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues
- Desire to learn the investment management industry
- 0-3 years of experience (analyst); 3+ years of experience in financial services (associate)
