Role Description:
This role will be primarily responsible for providing legal advice on a daily basis for business activities in China WMC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Consultation:
- Assist with product development and structuring;
- Provide ongoing advice regarding invested assets, sales activities, internal control and strategies;
- Proactively identify changes in laws/regulations and keep internal stakeholders informed
- Contract Management:
- Review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents, including investing contract, product contract, service provider/vendor and distribution agreements;
- Maintain the contract and seal management system;
- Corporate Governance:
- Provide legal support for corporate governance matters, ensuring the compliance with corporate laws and regulations;
- Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and Shareholders' Meeting, including meeting coordination, materials preparation, record keeping, Industrial and commercial registration;
- Other legal affairs:
- Establish legal policies and procedures;
- Authorization management;
- Deliver legal trainings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- PRC bar qualification.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience as a lawyer in a top law firm or the L&C department of a leading wealth management company, fund management company, securities firm, trust company, or other asset managers;
- Experience in advising wealth management products, mutual funds, private funds, ETF, FOF, and other asset management products; familiar with the life cycle of an asset management product;
- Knowledge of wealth management products related documentation, regulations (particularly on NFRA regime), and market practice;
- High-level proficiency in both written and spoken English, High-level documents draft skills;
- Exposure to and experience in corporate governance;
- Experience in Non-standardized Credit Assets and Financial Derivatives.
- Knowledge of data security legislation and personal information protection in China;
- Excellent communication/teamwork skills, strong attention to details, logical thinking ability, problem-solving ability and proactive work ethic;
- Understand how to effectively strike a balance between business interests and legal requirements.
- Shown ability to manage and work with external counsel.

Our hybrid work model
