Job Description
Business Operations ("Bus Ops") responsible for development of the firm's operating infrastructure to support BlackRock's investment businesses worldwide. Bus Ops establishes and coordinates operational procedures internally and externally with clients, custodians, accounting agents, prime brokers, broker-dealers and other vendors and responsible to run BlackRock's relationships. Global Accounting and Product Services ("GAAPS") is a unit within Bus Ops.
Within GAAPS, various teams responsible for the oversight of transfer agency and accounting service providers for BlackRock's Funds business including Mutual Funds, iShares and BTC Collective Investment Funds as well as providing strategic product support for other teams throughout BlackRock. The GAAPS India Team focuses on by supporting various teams within GAAPS, including Accounting Oversight and Transfer Agency. The candidate will join the GFES (GAAPS Fund Expense Services) team as an Analyst.

Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility of the GFES Analyst includes processing of invoices received from service providers such as Custodians, Fund Admins, Law firms, Audit firms, etc.
- Ensure that the SLA's are always maintained and help preserve the firm-vendor relationships to ensure continuity in service provided by the vendors.
- Strict adherence to the expense eligibility matrix to ensure invoices are processed and charged correctly either to the fund or the firm.
- Effective mailbox management to ensure all invoices are received from vendors and stored in the dashboard for retrospective lookups.
- Liaise and follow-up with internal teams to ensure invoices are getting approved and raise as deemed appropriate.
- Follow the control matrix to ensure risk areas are covered to prevent instances such as duplicate invoices or the risks associated with partial or manually paid invoices.
- Adherence to various teams' expense policy and ensure its updated and fine tuned as the business and funds evolve.
- Assist with preparation and review of invoicing metrics. Further, ensure the aged invoices are raised to Senior Management appropriately and there is an action plan to reduce the aged numbers.
- Assist in recalculation and validating administration fees. TA fees processing including: trailer fees; service fees; sales fees, and other fees.
- Work with external service providers, internal team members and other BlackRock groups to fix operational issues, as identified
Skills:
- 1-3 years' experience (desired but not required) working within a financial services or banking platform, with financial securities, private placements, and limited offerings a plus.
- Knowledge of financial concepts, doing client billing and invoicing, Purchase orders, ability to speak thoughtfully while using applied financial reasoning.
- Have working knowledge of Mutual Funds, ETFs, and Alts products
- Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications. Good to have BI tools' knowledge preferably Power BI.
- Capacity to multi-task, balance multiple priorities and meet targets in a dynamic and changing environment
- Facility to grasp complex concepts and details quickly!
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team!
- Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
