About this role
The Institutional Sales Support team is a new function based in Budapest and supports local sales offices in their daily activities, playing a vital role in achieving the businesses growth ambition. Responsibilities of the function include supporting the local offices in the preparation of client pitches, client analysis and reporting, managing follow-ups, CRM pipeline management, and working in close co-operation with the country sales teams to understand the needs of our clients and the sales teams that serve them.

This role is a critical leadership position within the Institutional Sales Support team. The Head of Institutional Sales Support - Director, will be based on Budapest and responsible for helping to establish coverage across the region and management of the function. The role will report into the COO for the Europe & Africa Institutional Business and will work in partnership with the Head of Wealth Sales Excellence, also based in Budapest.
The position requires excellent communication skills and a proven track record of building and managing sales and client facing functions in asset management. The individual will work closely with senior business leaders across the region and therefore, knowledge of public and private markets, investment wrappers, sales processes and client dynamics across Europe is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Local leadership of projects required to buildout and expand the Institutional Sales Support function in Budapest to cover all countries in Europe and Africa.
- Management of the Institutional Sales Support Team in Budapest, expected to grow to 12 FTE in 2025
- Prepare comprehensive PowerPoint decks for reporting purposes, ensuring clarity and precision in presentation.
- Collaborate with local sales leaders to report on the functions performance and identify key client and sales themes from the function's activities.
- Communicate with team members, addressing issues and coordinating on strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the Wealth Sales Support function, Client service organisation, Global Product Group, Investment Oversight, Marketing, HR, Technology & Operations, and Legal & Compliance.
- Build strong relationships and connections across the organisation to facilitate project success.
- Drive multiple initiatives forward simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a client business function, preferably in the investment/asset management industry, with at least 5 years leading high performing teams.
- Flexible and proactive with a keen attention to detail
- The candidate should be adept at data visualization and database management, with a focus on delivering actionable insights through data analytics.
