You will be part of the Aladdin team, BlackRock's investment operating system, used internally and by financial institutions globally. Aladdin integrates sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading, and operations tools, all on a single platform. It enables informed decision-making and creates a collaborative ecosystem for thousands of global investors.
For this role, you are going to work with the Aladdin Research team within Aladdin Engineering, and responsible for maintaining and enhancing tool, which is a platform designed to enhance collaboration between research analysts and portfolio managers. It allows for quick CRUD operations of research notes and attachments, supporting searches by author, industry sector, and much more

Responsibilities:
As an Alpha Engineering Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Identifies and implements improvements to processes
- Expertise and insight are sought; actively shares widely
- Creates collaborative work environments and seeks out different view
- Exercises independent judgement
- A proven ability to build strong relationships and develop trusted partnerships through open communication and continuous delivery
- Knowledge of the software creation process and familiarity with unit testing, agile methodologies, and CI/CD principles
- Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones
Requirements:
- Experience (4+ years) building UI components using latest in web technologies (e.g. Angular, React, NGRX) and languages (e.g. TypeScript)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles
- Experience Reactive programming with RxJS
Nice to have:
- Exposure to mono repository (NX)
- Exposure to Micro frontend
- Exposure on Java - (e.g. Spring, Collections, Multi-threading, Exception handling)
- Exposure on Open-Source technology stack (Spring, Hibernate, Maven, JUnit)
- Experience with DevOps and tools like Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building microservices and APIs ideally with REST, Kafka or gRPC
- Experience with agile methodology in SDLC
- Exposure to the financial, investment management domain

Our hybrid work model
