Summary:
The Americas Advisory Compliance team is seeking an experienced, self-motivated compliance professional to manage, support, maintain, and enhance BlackRock's various information barrier compliance programs. The information barrier compliance programs are critical to BlackRock's business objectives and govern the flow of material non-public information (MNPI) and other sensitive information related to investment due diligence, corporate initiatives, and other business activities. The role supports BlackRock's various installed barriers, our proprietary system for managing MNPI, policies and procedures, training, MI reporting, and special projects as needed. The successful candidate will interact regularly with various BlackRock functions across the globe including investments, trading, legal, and other business support functions while responding to business inquiries and progressing business initiatives.

The role may also require the individual to assist with other centralized compliance functions that are administered by the Americas Advisory team in addition to participating in project work as it arises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for key aspects of the compliance programs related to information barriers
- Help to manage, oversee and coach team members involved in the delivery of key compliance related tasks and initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact for business inquiries such as those related to material non-public information (MNPI) restrictions or other information barrier compliance related matters
- Prepare, review, and update/implement policies, procedures, and processes to help ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry practices especially those related to the barrier compliance programs
- Participate in efforts with respect to applicable regulatory examinations/inspections and Internal Audits.
- Partner with technology on updates and enhancements to BlackRock's proprietary system for managing MNPI
- Oversee certain investment team activities through surveillance and periodic testing
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of compliance training and education programs
- Prepare management information reporting
- Work on other Compliance related ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of asset management or similar experience either in a Control Room, Portfolio Compliance, or Advisory Compliance working with MNPI and/or information barriers
- Knowledge of MNPI/Insider Trading related regulatory requirements and/or Aladdin a plus
- Strong written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Ability to outline a project and manage to completion while interacting with various parts of BlackRock
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, logically and analytically
- Proficient across M365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Bachelor's degree required
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
