About Your Team (Application Hosting):
Application Hosting sits within the Hosting Services Team of the Aladdin Engineering organization. It is responsible for:

  • Engineering the core services for the next generation Aladdin Container Platform to host cloud-native applications at scale.
  • Responsible for the orchestration of over 1 million applications both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Managing edge routing, load balancing, security, and web asset caching services for our internal and internet-facing applications.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and maintain solution to build & operate Kubernetes clusters at scale.
  • Engineer and maintain solution to model & orchestrate applications on Kubernetes clusters.
  • Provision Edge Routing, Security, and Caching services for Internet-facing applications.
  • Provide infrastructure support to troubleshoot incidents affecting applications & services hosted in Kubernetes clusters, in partnership with infrastructure teams & vendors.
  • Use and configure industry-standard Observability tools like PagerDuty, Grafana, and Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting applications & services.
  • Innovate by creating automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scale of our technology workstreams and team processes.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team to engineer solutions to scale and operate cloud-native web applications in collaboration with developers and stakeholder groups.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • 2+ years of Go development experience, with proficiency in one or more additional languages: C++, Python, or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or another cloud provider.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and source control management.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Kubernetes certifications: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with ADO, ArgoCD, or other GitOps tools.
  • Exposure to IdP/Authentication tools like EntraID, Keycloak, Oauth, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Native concepts and best practices.
  • Strong grasp of networking and containerization fundamentals, including edge routing, DNS, ingress, and network security.
