Job Duties: Development of enterprise solution based on multi-tier architecture in a distributed environment using plethora of Java related technologies, application servers, databases and tools. Utilize Spring, Hibernate, Maven, GIT, Splunk, Apache Ignite, Cassandra, Kafka and other open source technologies. Design and develop micro services and API to help with Settlement Management process for ETF. Apply design best practices using design methodologies/patterns. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation and production support. Work independently and communicate effectively with team members across the globe. Help team members with the knowledge transfer of various functionalities and also code review changes done by team members.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience as an Associate, Software Engineer or related. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Java, Python, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Splunk, Apache Ignite; software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, application design, systems development, testing, implementation and production support; and one (1) year of experience with: Design Methodologies and patterns; Cassandra, Kafka and Unix; and Sybase, MS-SQL Server.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $140,800 - $157,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
