Private Funds Paralegal
We are seeking a corporate paralegal to collaborate with the Private Funds Paralegal Support team. This role involves assisting attorneys on the Private Funds Legal team with tasks such as product launches, investments, restructures, liquidations, reporting, information gathering, document management, legal billing, and database input.
Key Job Responsibilities:
AML/KYC
- Deliver timely and comprehensive AML/KYC packages.
- Utilize Adobe tools to redact legal documents efficiently.
- Gather and prepare essential supporting materials.
- Notarize and certify documents with precision.
Fund and Transaction Legal Documents
- Facilitate entity formation and onboarding in a timely manner
- Draft resolutions, board materials, and manage director resignations and appointments.
- Prepare certificates of incumbency and other corporate consent documents.
Document Management
- Net Documents (Document Management Tool)
- Create and organize workspaces, ensuring documents are saved accurately.
- Conduct clean-ups to remove duplicates as needed.
- Fund Tracking System (Entity Database)
- Maintain and update the database continuously.
- Retrieve basic information and generate insightful reports.
- SharePoint Document Management (Microsoft Document Management Tool)
- Upload and keep offering package documents current.
Liquidations Projects
- Engage in liquidation stakeholder meetings and prepare supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the liquidator to ensure successful completion of liquidations.
Legal Billing
- Set up matters in the Legal Billing system.
- Manage other legal billing tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Hold an undergraduate degree (BA/BS) and have experience as a corporate paralegal in asset management or fund formation within a major law firm, investment management firm, or investment bank. A Paralegal Certificate with a focus on corporate, real estate, or securities is preferred.
- Notary License: Be a licensed Notary or willing to obtain a Notary License within 3 months of hire.
- Skills & Attributes: Demonstrate initiative, accountability, excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and deliver multiple time-sensitive tasks accurately in a fluid environment.
- Teamwork & Communication: Exhibit outstanding relationship-building skills and a proven track record of effective teamwork. Approach problems practically and communicate complex concepts clearly to colleagues at all levels.
- Technical Proficiency: Be proficient in Adobe, Excel, and Word. Experience with PowerPoint, SharePoint, NetDocuments, and/or CounselLink is helpful.

For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$90,000.00 - USD$125,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
