About this role

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented AML and Periodic Refresh Analyst/ to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to AML regulations and conducting periodic reviews of customer accounts. This role involves monitoring and analyzing transactions, identifying suspicious activities, and ensuring that customer data is up to date in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

AML Compliance:

  • Monitor customer transactions to identify and report suspicious activities in accordance with AML regulations. -
  • Conduct thorough investigations into potentially suspicious activities and prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for submission to regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure the organization's AML policies and procedures are current and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of AML training programs for staff.

Periodic Refresh:

  • Conduct periodic reviews and refreshes of customer profiles to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Evaluate customer risk levels and update customer risk assessments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer data accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage customer outreach programs to collect necessary documentation and information updates.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports of AML activities and customer refreshes.
  • Ensure proper documentation of investigations, findings, and actions taken.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for AML-related documentation.

Regulatory Liaison:

  • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory examinations and audits related to AML and customer due diligence.
  • Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and requests for information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Business, Law, or a related field / MBA
  • Certification in AML will be an added advantage

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in AML compliance, KYC, or a related field within the financial services industry. - Experience conducting customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD). - Familiarity with local and international AML regulations and standards.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient in using AML software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
