Team Description

The mission of the Aladdin Value Engineering (AVE) team is to work with prospective clients to understand the potential impact of an investment in Aladdin technology and to partner with existing clients to realize this impact. This is achieved through short, dynamic projects that define a joint, high-level target operating model vision, implementation plan and business case. The team typically engages across the most strategic and complex prospects of the Aladdin Client Business globally.

Role Description

The VP, AVE will be responsible for designing and executing joint impact study projects with prospective and existing Aladdin clients. This includes project scoping and management, stakeholder management (both internal and external), financial modelling and the design and delivery of C-level presentations. While the role has a global scope, the primary focus will be on building AVE's presence in the Americas and lead the team's regional efforts.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires partnership with counterparts across Aladdin functions globally, including the Business Development (Sales), Solutions Engineering (Pre-Sales), Client Engagement (Relationship Management) teams. The team also frequently works with external consulting firms advising our clients. As an innovative new function within the Aladdin Client Business, AVE brings an entrepreneurial spirit with an objective of developing business frameworks, Excel models, benchmark analyses and case studies that contribute to more effective and scaled sales engagements.

This position reports to the Global Head of Aladdin Value Engineering.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will be a high performer with a well-rounded skillset across strategy, technical and soft skills and a proven ability to think laterally.

They will enjoy working in fast-paced project settings with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. The candidate will be comfortable working across sales regions, adapting quickly to different client contexts and ways of working, as well as collaborating with a large number of external parties and internal partner functions.

We are looking for:

  • 7+ years' experience in financial services, with a background in strategy and/or technology consulting being a plus
  • Proven ability to scope and lead strategic projects, incl. the design and delivery of PMO frameworks, storylines and C-level presentations
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence at all organizational levels and bridge technical and strategic perspectives
  • Proficiency in English required; additional languages and prior international work experience are desirable
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates who hold a Master's degree or an MBA

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$137,500.00 - USD$194,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
