WHAT WE NEED

  • Experience in both manual and automated testing work (ideally relating to bespoke / customisable financial software platforms)
  • Experience in building and maintaining Test Automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Cucumber/Gherkin BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) Testing Framework and experience in writing BDD tests
  • Experience in utilizing version control systems (GIT, BitBucket, SVN)
  • Experience or understanding of C# programming / development (preferred)
  • ISTQB Certification will be a plus
  • Experience or Familiarity with the Alternative Asset Management Industry (preferred)
  • Previous suitable experience could include software quality assurance analysis, business analysis, system support or similar related roles
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented & strong work ethic
  • Enthusiasm for finance, testing, and technology
  • A degree from a 4-year university (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can successfully manage multiple competing priorities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Function as a sole QA contributor for multiple Product Teams to perform testing and provide quality assurance for their projects
  • Carry out both manual and automated testing activities (to begin with this role will be largely manual testing focussed with increasing amounts of automation over time)
  • Design, write, maintain & execute functional, performance, security and other tests for multiple software applications
  • Lead maintenance of regression test suite and control proper product test coverage
  • Contribute to Test Automation Framework development by connecting the business-readable specification to the application interface with C# code
  • Log and monitor defects and features in our internal tracking system
  • Create and maintain testing environments and infrastructure
  • Assist with installations, upgrades, and training for clients
  • Be proactive in defining automatable QA activities and suitable automation tools
  • Create and maintain both product and process documentation
  • Gather, analyse, document, and test requirements for unique business scenarios that differ across company products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Developers, Product Management, Account Managers, etc.) to enhance our product and services
  • Learn fast and effectively share gained knowledge with the team
  • Influence the growth of our product using feedback from clients and solutions
  • Propose departmental initiatives to help improve our processes and team goals
