We are seeking an experienced business operations analyst to join our team. In this role, you will leverage data to support key business decisions. You will report directly to our VP of Business Operations and own our vendor, financial, and headcount processes, working closely with stakeholders to streamline planning and optimizing reporting across the P&T organization. You are a self-starter who can track, manage, analyze, and report on large amounts of sensitive data and have a passion for transforming data into meaningful and actionable insights. You are extremely analytical and an Excel wizard who loves to build dashboards and reports. You will leverage your business acumen and technical knowledge to identify areas for improvement, implement efficient processes and ensure seamless collaboration.

You'll Get To:

The Business Operations Analyst will be a key part of the leadership team focusing on process, metrics/KPI's, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with the VP of Business Operations on strategy, using data to drive business critical decisions.
  • Analyze and improve business and technical processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., budget, hiring, vendor, etc.).
  • Own the Engineering Operations Review meeting - developing dashboards, working with stakeholders, analyzing data, and providing recommended actions
  • Streamline and own all reporting for Engineering, including: operational performance metrics, developer productivity, financial, hiring, etc.
  • Generate insightful reports and dashboards to track performance metrics, and produce presentations for use in executive meetings and organizational needs.
  • Develop financial and scenario-based planning models to inform business strategy and decision making.
  • Manage procurement activities and process.
  • Work well with ambiguity and know how to engage leaders cross-functionally and communicate to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, data analytics, business operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Tableau.
  • Comfort working with large and complex data sets and presenting findings to senior leadership in a concise and actionable manner.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies.
  • Experience with financial reporting for business forecasting, variance analysis, budget management, and scenario-planning
  • Familiarity with common tech industry workflows and tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Empathy for working with supporting teams to identify and remedy pain points.
  • Strong intra team and cross functional collaboration skills, working with individuals at all levels across the organization.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Travel as needed to remote office locations for training, implementation, and/or planning as required.

Salary Range:

USD $130,000.00 - USD $173,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
