Make Your Mark:

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Global Event Sponsorship Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing sponsorships for industry events, conferences, and webinars that align with our brand and business goals. The ideal candidate has experience in sponsorship sales, contract execution, business development, and relationship management, with a strong understanding of the accounting and finance technology landscape.

The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communications skills, experience working with large international consulting firms and a passion for building strong relationships with key contacts at our partner organizations. Experience presenting to leadership on high-level plans, progress and results preferred.

Sponsorship Strategy & Acquisition:

Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities that enhance brand visibility and drive revenue.

Partnership Development:

Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, event organizers, and key stakeholders in the accounting and financial technology sector.

Proposal & Negotiation:

Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and negotiate agreements that align with business objectives.

Event Execution:

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless sponsorship activations at live and virtual events, including branding, speaking engagements, and booth placements.

Performance Tracking:

Measure sponsorship effectiveness, track ROI, and provide insights on optimizing future sponsorship strategies.

Industry Research:

Stay informed on trends in accounting, finance, and SaaS events to identify new sponsorship opportunities. Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor content strategies to keep content relevant and innovative.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, business development, or event marketing, preferably in the SaaS, accounting, or finance industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple sponsorship projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with accounting software, fintech trends, and financial industry events is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
  • Knowledge of and experience using Wrike or other similar project management platforms
  • Exhibit a high level of drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • Be a self-starter with solid organizational and planning skills
  • Must be a team player and collaborate well across departments

Other:

  • Working in partnership with the events team, develop prospectuses and guide creative direction for event-related sponsor communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • Lead introduction of sponsorship opportunities to partners including a kick-off call and establishing regular progress cadence and follow-up in addition to a know-before-you-go call.
  • Secure partner sponsorship commitments, including managing event contracts and invoicing/ billing for sponsorship fees
  • Develop co-branded sponsor marketing kits with sponsors and internal cross-functional teams (events, legal, finance).
  • Manage content, build and updates for our sponsor portal in partnership with the events team (including content, logos, booth graphics, ads, banners, etc.)
  • Gather partner and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase sponsor revenue and overall event sponsor participation
  • Conduct post-event sponsor survey
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
  • Managing discount/sponsor codes and pre and post-event list uploads
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about sponsor marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

Sponsorship Deliverables/ Fulfillment:

  • Partner panel coordination
  • Sponsor lunch/breakfast coordination
  • Ancillary event/ industry roundtable - coordinate partner invites/ mapping for ancillary events/roundtables
  • Manage lead retrieval as needed

Salary Range:

USD $102,000.00 - USD $127,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
