The Compliance Internship role will provide the intern with an opportunity to gain a stronger understanding of the Compliance framework within the Financial Services industry. They will be part of a diverse team of talented professionals who interact with Compliance team personnel and business leads to understand business operations and dynamics, and analyze, monitor, and review related risks. The Compliance Intern will monitor activities to help minimize the company's exposure to risk coupled with building and maintaining new processes. Activities will include quantitative analysis, process management, and critical thinking to provide effective communication and produce compliance-related deliverables. The Compliance Intern will also support the reputation of the company to minimize compliance and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company and legal standards.
Some responsibilities of the Compliance Internship role may include, but are not limited to:
- Working in teams and independently to develop and lead short-term compliance projects and initiatives.
- Assisting in the production and review of related materials for various risk forums/committees.
- Performing quality control audits of compliance processes.
- Gathering and analyzing relevant compliance-related information to create deliverables and establish necessary recommendations on compliance matters such as, Training, Regulatory Change Management, Metrics, Reporting, etc.
- Executing ad hoc reporting for management as needed.
- Initiating change, integration, operationalization/automation of new and existing systems and processes.
- Follow up the new laws and regulations of the financial market that impact the company;
- Provide support in the relationship with regulators;
- Monitor key global regulations;
