The role of the People Operations Generalist is to support People Team operations and compliance activities fundamental to the business.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the employee and contractor onboarding process, including background checks, HRIS data entry, pre-boarding communications, and ensuring a seamless new hire experience.
- Conduct semi-monthly payroll and benefits audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage and serve as a liaison between third party agencies and resolve discrepancies and inquiries as they arise.
- Develop and maintain quarterly People Dashboards to inform business decisions.
- Facilitate the offboarding process, including termination notifications to stakeholders, offboarding emails, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Provide support for annual and fall Compensation Planning initiatives.
- Perform HRIS and compensation tool updates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with EEO, Harassment, and other regulatory training requirements, tracking and reporting as necessary.
- Serve as the primary responder for People Ops tickets, providing timely and effective solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in an analytical or operational role.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, HRIS systems and payroll processes.
- Excellent data analytics, including observing patterns and drawing conclusions from data
- Strong organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with compliance training and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
